Privacy Policy — BesticleanEffective: 1 September 2026 · Last updated: 1 September 2026Besticlean is a photo-cleaning app for iPhone. This policy explains what it does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.The short version- Your photos never leave your phone. Besticlean reads your photo library on the device to find screenshots, duplicates and large videos. It does not upload, copy, back up or transmit your photos or videos anywhere.- There is no account. No sign-up, no login, no password, no email address.- There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics. We do not measure what you tap.- One company receives anything at all: RevenueCat, which processes your subscription. What it receives is described below, and it is not your name, your email or your photos. What the app does on your deviceTo do its job, Besticlean asks for permission to read your photo library. With that permission it reads your photos and videos and their basic details — dimensions, duration, file name, and the date they were taken — to work out which ones are screenshots, duplicates, bursts or oversized videos. All of this happens on your iPhone. The app makes no network request to do it, and the results are never sent anywhere. When you delete photos, Besticlean asks iOS to delete them using Apple's standard system prompt. iOS moves them to Recently Deleted, where they stay for 30 days before iOS removes them permanently. Besticlean cannot recover them for you and never keeps a copy.If you choose to save or share a recap image, the app writes that image to your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice, and is covered by the privacy policy of whichever app you send it to.What is stored on your deviceBesticlean saves a small amount of information locally so it can pick up where you left off: which photos you have already sorted and your position in the deck; a history of how much of your roll was junk over time, for the Roll Health chart; your reminder setting and the amount your last completed session freed, so a reminder can say something true; and whether your subscription is active, so the app works offline and at launch. This stays on your iPhone. We cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.What leaves your phoneOnly subscription information, and only through RevenueCat.Besticlean uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. When you subscribe or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier that RevenueCat creates for your installation, the App Store purchase receipt for your subscription, and basic technical information such as your device model, operating system version, app version and country. We never send RevenueCat your name, your email address, your photos, or anything about your photo library. We do not set a user identifier of our own, so the identifier RevenueCat holds is anonymous and is not connected to your identity. RevenueCat's own policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.Apple, not us, handles the payment. Your card details, your Apple Account and your billing address go to Apple. Besticlean never sees them.NotificationsIf you turn on a reminder, Besticlean schedules it locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server, and the app has no push-notification capability at all — that entitlement is deliberately removed from the build. No notification token is created, and none is shared. You can turn reminders off inside the app, or in iOS Settings, at any time. What we do not do- We do not collect or store your personal information on any server we control.- We do not use analytics, attribution, advertising or crash-reporting services.- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not ask for permission to.- We do not sell or share your information, and we never have.ChildrenBesticlean is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because the app collects no personal information and has no account, there is nothing for a child to submit to us.Your rightsWe hold no personal information about you, so there is no account to access, correct or delete, and no data export to request. Deleting the app removes everything Besticlean stored on your device. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a US state with its own privacy law, and you want to ask about the subscription record RevenueCat holds, contact us at the address below and we will help.To manage or cancel your subscription, use Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling is handled entirely by Apple.Changes to this policyIf this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this address. If a change ever means the app starts collecting something it does not collect today, we will say so plainly rather than bury it here.ContactQuestions about this policy or about the app: [email protected]
SupportBesticlean is made by one person. Email and you will get a real reply.[email protected]Common questionsI deleted photos but my storage did not change.iOS keeps deleted photos for 30 days in Recently Deleted, and they still take up space until that album is emptied. Open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and empty it there. Can I get a photo back?Yes, within 30 days, from that same Recently Deleted album. Besticlean never keeps a copy of your photos, so recovery is handled entirely by iOS.How do I cancel?Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling is handled by Apple, not by us.I paid but the app still asks me to subscribe.Tap Restore purchases on the subscribe screen. If that does not work, email us with the Apple receipt and we will sort it out.Do my photos get uploaded? No. Everything happens on your iPhone. See our privacy policy.
